A New Chapter for Love Bus: Your Questions Answered

Love Bus: Delivering Comfort & Connection

For 20 years, Lucy’s Love Bus has delivered comfort and care to children and families navigating childhood cancer. As we enter our third decade of service, we’re making a simple change: Lucy’s Love Bus will now be known simply as Love Bus, accompanied by a refreshed logo and visual identity.

We know you may have questions. Here’s what this evolution means, and what it doesn’t.

Why is the organization changing its name?

This change reflects a vision that co-founder Beecher Grogan — Lucy's mom — always held: that this organization belongs to every child and family coping with childhood cancer, not just one.

As we enter our 20th year, evolving our name is a thoughtful step forward. It strengthens our ability to connect with more families, healthcare partners, and supporters, and positions us to grow our reach and impact in the years ahead — while honoring everything that got us here.

What's changing is our name and visual identity. Our mission, our programs, and our commitment to families remain exactly the same.

Is Lucy’s legacy being removed or minimized?

No. Lucy’s legacy remains at the heart of Love Bus. Her vision was simple and powerful: deliver love and comfort until a cure. That belief continues to guide our mission, our values, and the way we serve families every day.

Will programs or services change?

No. Love Bus will continue providing free integrative therapies to children with cancer — and their family members — throughout New England. Services include massage, yoga, acupuncture, Reiki, chiropractic care, therapeutic horseback riding, and activities that promote strength, movement, and joy. Families can expect the same care, compassion, and access they have always received.

Why keep “Love Bus”?

The name Love Bus captures the spirit of our work: delivering love, comfort, and quality of life directly to families facing childhood cancer.

It reflects forward motion, connection, and community — and allows us to broaden awareness of our mission while honoring the foundation Lucy created.

When will the transition happen?

The transition will roll out gradually in the coming months. You’ll begin to see our new name and logo reflected across our website, materials, and communications.

Throughout this process, our commitment to families remains steady and unchanged.

How can I stay involved?

Just as you always have. Whether you give, volunteer, partner with us, or simply share our mission, your support is what makes this work possible. Since 2006, thousands of children and families have received care because of a generous and compassionate community — and we're deeply grateful for every part of that.

We're excited for what's ahead, and we'd love to bring you along for it.
